About the Convention

One Last Time: A Reunion is a celebration honoring the people who came together every Memorial Day Weekend for 40 years of fun, intellectual discussions, and creativity. While we have lost many of our numbers along the way, we wanted to have one more chance to share memories, laughter (and tears), to raise a glass to our departed companions and to one another. This is our opportunity. We invite you to join us to write the epilogue to the book of our lives that was the convention. Come and reconnect with old friends. Reminisce with us.

While the original convention had been held in Lansing, One Last Time: A Reunion will take place in Grand Rapids, Michigan, at the Holiday Inn Grand Rapids Airport Hotel. Per tradition, we will meet on Memorial Day Weekend (May 23-25, 2025). It will not be the exact same convention but we will do our best to make it an experience that is both memorable and enjoyable for all!

The con’s theme is inspired by the hit Broadway musical Hamilton, and the song “One Last Time” where Washington talks about his retirement and asks Hamilton to join him for a drink and to say goodbye. There could not be a more fitting concept for this reunion. The logo featuring the three women — Lieutenant Uhura, Princess Leia, and Xena — represents the early days of fandom and our strengths as a community: inspiring, leading, and defending through life’s journeys.
